Our Story

Mama Z's began as a dream of Edna Zulpo, to open a pasta factory, but as the idea began to grow, the pasta factory soon turned into a cafe. "Mama Z" was used to preparing large meals for her family. On Sundays after church, everyone would gather at her house and begin cooking, using many of the old family recipes handed down from Edna's grandmother. By the end of the day, there was enough food prepared to last the whole week!

So, in 1988, Mama Z's Cafe opened its doors! With the help of family and friends, she created a Tontitown landmark! Today, the cafe is owned and operated by her granddaughter and her family. We are continuing her legacy with the same homemade pasta and sauce recipes that have been handed down for generations!

We hope you join us and take part in the family tradition that has spanned four generations and beyond!
